CHHILKE WALI MOONG KI DAAL – mung beans with the green skins on. This imparts a completely different flavour and texture than ordinary yellow mung daal. I like it a lot as it is flavoursome and very satisfying. It’s so easy to make and you can cook a vast quantity with just a teaspoon of oil! I need to find time to upload the recipe but I will soon. This is great with rice or rotis. In fact we eat it as an anytime snack as it’s so filling and healthy.
