Wholewheat puris are so light and non greasy even though they are deep fried. These are the puris I grew up with and love. My mum taught me how to fry them until they turn “red” as you can see in the next frame. These were typically made for parties, festivals or long train journeys because they taste good cold and with a bit of sabzi, make a tasty meal.
