Deccan Tiffin in partnership with the Migrating out of Poverty Research Programme Consortium at the University of Sussex raised £225 through a charity dinner on the 7th of December. The money was donated to the Migrant English Project, a Brighton and Hove based charity that helps refugees and migrants with their language skills and provides other kinds of support. The event was attended by nearly 80 staff and students.
The theme of the evening was the Indian Diaspora – The menu featured classic dishes from the Indian diaspora including Bunny Chow from South Africa, Baigan Chokha from Trinidad and Pea Kachoris from the UK. All washed down with Mango Lassi!
