Dahi Bade – Underneath all of that sweetened yoghurt, tamarind and jaggery sauce, ginger and chilli are fritters made of ground soaked urad beans (black gram). This is what I was grinding earlier(see previous post). This is a firm favourite in North India and is served as a snack or part of a meal. The sweet, tangy, spicy dish is a really nice treat. Luckily I had some urad beans and other bits and pieces to make this dish.
