Sautéd grated white cabbage is a super quick sabzi to make if you’re short of time. All you need is oil, mustard seeds, green chilli, asafoetida, turmeric, lime and green coriander – basically stuff you’re likely to have if you Indian food often. Method: grate 1/2 cabbage. Heat 1 t oil, add mustard, wait for it to crackle, then add asafoetida, green chilli and the cabbage after a few seconds. Stir, add salt and remaining ingredients. Stir again and cook on a low flame for 5 min with a lid on. No water as I always say!
