Let me take you on a journey to the heart of Old Delhi. This is the food that I grew up with and love:

Five courses of classic Old Delhi cuisine

Amuse Bouche – Palak Ki Chaat (Crisp spinach with tamarind and mint chutneys, yoghurt, spices and sev)

Starter – Galawati Chaap – Lamb cutlets marinated for 24 hours in green papaya and spices/Hariyali Paneer Tikka for vegetarians

Second Course – Dhaba Maa Ki Daal and Bedmi – Whole black lentils slow cooked in a tomato and cream gravy, served with stuffed puris

Mains – Deghi Chicken Biryani (Old Delhi style Biryani with black cardamom and fennel/Matar Pulao with Boondi Raita

Desserts – Thandai Icecream (made with nuts, saffron, cardamom, black pepper and anise) served with a mini Mal Pua (pancake in syrup with evaporated milk)
